Here We Go!!!!

Welcome to Cornerstone's new online art department!  I am excited to be able to connect and do some teaching in this online format.  This is a weird time but I'm happy to see all the ways our teachers are being creative and connecting with families' and students.  I hope to do the same in offering videos as we do projects together.  Here is an opening video to kick off our 4th quarter!

In the weeks to come, I will be posting videos at least once a week (more as I get the hang of working this technology and get my own household organized).  I will give assignments to the main teacher to include in their weekly assignments then ask that you show me the finished project via email.  I will be gathering and organizing final art projects at the end of the week to post here for our community to enjoy.  If you can, write your name and grade in the bottom of the image so everyone can see who the artist is.  You can sign your art or type it in when you take the picture for me.

Please feel free to use any tools or media that you have available in your home.  If you make a trip to Walmart or the store... a cheap set of watercolors or anything like that will be helpful.  But I will try to give suggestions each week on how to use everyday items that most families have around the house.  I am is the same boat as you all with not having much to work with at my house.  Grades will be recorded as a completion grade.   I will also assign an artist with each video that your student can write a short paragraph on if they are feeling frustrated with lack of materials.  (This is optional and in lieu of a completed project)

I will label each video assignment with the date in the title so you can easily keep up on the right side of this blog.  Thank you for bearing with us as we all get used to this new setup.  I can't wait to see what we can create for God's Glory in the weeks to come!
